Training for a 5k

I started training myself to run a 5k this week, using an app. I have never been able to run before. I 've lost enough weight now that I can run and I am so addicted. Maybe someday I can be a marathon runner. Woo hoo!20171212_181254.jpg

Look how far you have come and how strong you have become. Keep pushing! Completing a marathon is absolutely possible.

Thanks! I love your quote. This also broke my plateau. I'm back to losing a pound a day....67.6 and counting. I feel like I've been given a new life!

You used same clinic as I did- I see Dr. Kilgore. I'm doing my first 5k tomorrow night though will do more walk/run this time as opposed to running the whole thing. Training for a sprint triathlon in April as well! I still don't love running- I prefer swimming and horseback riding but my personal trainer keeps pushing me on the treadmills

I'm addicted too! It's amazing to be able to run! I did a few 5ks already. My first with 8weeks post op!

Wow it took me six months to take off enough weight to feel comfortable with running. Keep up the good work!
