Restriction Gone

I’m almost 12 weeks out and don’t feel restricted. Is this normal? I don’t really eat a lot but I noticed when I drink water. I used to sip, but now I drink and wait to feel restriction and nothing gives me the tightness. Well, I take that back. When I eat applesauce that’s when I feel the sleeve. I can eat a little chicken and don’t feel the restriction at all.

Sounds like you have a ton of restriction. Drinking is not going to make you feel a lot of restriction- the further you get out from surgery the more you can drink. If applesauce makes you feel full then there is no problem.

I am 4 weeks out and can drink like no tomorrow......

I can eat some chicken/salmon - like 2oz and 2 green beans and I am stuffed.....

Have you tried other proteins? How many ounces is 'a little chicken'?

Thank you. I’ll try to stop worrying about it.

I have a few bites of chicken and I’ve eaten about an ounce or two of Salisbury steak. I have eaten 3 oz of salmon around week 7 and can’t stand salmon now. I can’t eat shrimp and I used to love it before surgery. It doesn’t break down well.

4 weeks out and can drink way bigger sips but food fills me up too quickly. I've still got to take in 2 protein shakes daily along with one meal because I can't get in enough food to get in my protein quota.
