If I'm going to track various body measurements, are there certain ones that I should do?

I'm guessing neck, upper arm, thigh, hips, waist. Am I missing something?

Here are quotes from different sites, explaining how to measure the waist for the waist-to-hip measurement:

All of these are describing the same area.. in relation to the hip bone, not the navel. In people that have been very heavy, the navel is a very poor indicator because it moves downward with the sagging skin. The navel is SUPPOSED to be only a cm below the smallest part of the waist (natural waist), but for many of us, it's no longer there.

I did neck, bust, under bust, natural waist, hips, each upper arm, each wrist, each thigh and each calf.

It didn't drive me crazy because I have only measured twice, just before surgery and at goal weight. All total I lost over 70 inches.

I am 10 pounds under my goal, I should measure again but doubt I will.

About the boots, they have made boots with extended calf sizes for years. I have huge calves. Even as a kid, not overweight, I had huge calves. I couldn't wear boots back then because they didn't have large calve boots. So I just never became a boot person.

I am well within the normal BMI range now and still have large calves. Very straight jeans are impossible for me, the size that fits my calves is huge on my waist. Same with leggings. I could complain about my calves but my waist is tiny so I won't [emoji6]

Sic erat scriptum. Latin for "thus was it written." It's used when quoting exactly what another wrote including the misspell, or mis-used word(s).

I use an app called Bariastic. It's a wonderful app that allows recording of lots of indicators. (Great for data nerds like me!) [emoji12] It can even connect with your program if your program has linked to the app. Sadly, mine has not but I talk up the app every time I'm in the office.

One can record measurements, weight, water, and food. It keeps track of your post-op days and gives a daily affirmation. There's a journal section also where a photo can be added to each journal entry; I add a selfie of my face to my daily journal.

I weigh and measure weekly. Measurements are really helpful for me when I feel like I haven't lost "enough" weight each week. I've lost a total of 49 inches so far. [emoji4]

Agree with all above, but I also add wrist, foot arch, and ring size. With my wrist, I can tell my actual frame size estimate (small for me), my foot tells me my new shoe size (I've already lost a size!), and rings size is going down like crazy! I have a ring sizer (cheap from Amazon) and I measured my ring finger at size 4 1/2 today. My wedding ring is a 4--almost there!!
