I am two weeks post op and although I feel a million times better than I did my first week I have this sharp pain under my right rib. Is this my stomach still healing? Has anyone else experienced this sharp pain?

I am two weeks post op and although I feel a million times better than I did my first week I have this sharp pain under my right rib. Is this my stomach still healing? Has anyone else experienced this sharp pain?

I’m one day out and it’s gas walking helps so much even after my surgery I’ve been walking around slowly and farted out said gas laying down before bed time or just laying down in general makes the gas go under my left brest bone and ribs. So don’t beat yourself up, just get outside and walk a little bit at a time and you’ll build your way up and gas free!

I had the same pain and it turned out to be a bruised rib. It's likely gas, but it could be a bruise, which they cannot do anything about anyway. Try some heat. My surgeon okayed Advil once it was diagnosed, but I only needed it a few times. It take quite a while to go away though, just in case that's your situation.
