Chest pains

Day 3 Still having horrible chest pains and hard for me to breathe in and out. Also hard for me to lay flat. I'm sipping the smallest amounts possible. I feel so thirsty but since it hurts so much when I swallow I don't want to cause pain.

  • That pain was so awful! I feel so bad for you! If it's not better by now call your doc. There is no reason for you to be in that pain for so long.

It could be the gas in your body, make sure that you are walking, mine was the gas in my body!

  • It will get easier. Make sure you do the breathing exercises. That helps. I'm a week out and still have some chest pain, but better each day.

I think you need to notify your doctor, just so they're aware - to be on the safe side.

Could it be the pain from where the breathing tube was in surgery? That lasts for awhile

Being intubated may cause a sore throat, but not chest pain. I would call your doctor.
