Short and Lower 200's
Thanks and you will get there, I think that it should be of interest to lose it at a slower rate so that your body proportions right. Do forget once you're cleared to get back into the gym because then you can tone it to prevent so much excess skin! Good luck to you, if you are determined don't stress about it, you already took the first step to get sleeved now thats all you need to do is believe that the sleeve will do its job, and be sure to do yours :).

4 months post op- slow loss??
Ditto to what Creekiml13 said! I’m struggling with my water and protein intake my weight loss has been consistent I started the process at 245 and my surgery date weight was 225. Today I weight 190. I had the surgery sept. 12 I workout regularly. Some people’s body’s just take more of a push, my goal it to hit my water intake goal, and to hit some of my protein goal. You will be successful mind over matter! Exercising and eating right is the key to success! You can do it I believe in you!

September Sleevers- How are you feeling??
And honestly it's okay, a lot of people may have opinions but this is your journey, and just because you deviate from your diet doesn't mean you're doomed for failure. My Mom had the bypass and I tell you she did not stick to her diet at all, she was an it more risky than I am trying foods that she shouldn't have and ended up purging but that's what she needed a lesson learned. She was still successful and after 10 years kept the weight off. Everyone's body is different.

Able to eat soft foods 1 week post op
Good evening, I am posting because my recovery has been a bit odd, I plan on contacting my doctor tomorrow, because I am able to eat soft foods without any issues. My scars have been healing well, I've been active and hungry, today I was able to eat 1/2 cup of cream of wheat, 1/4 cup of yogurt and a cheese stick. I don't know if this is normal, but I technically shouldn't be this advanced until next week. I'm losing weight, but I want to make sure that nothing has gone wrong. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!

September Sleevers- How are you feeling??
I was sleeved on 9/12. I have been doing well. I'm supposed to be on liquids, but I was feeling extremely weak, so I had some cream of wheat. I'm not having any issues getting foods down, and I don't feel sick afterwards, I have been loosing weight since surgery I lost 4lbs, bc the gas had to leave my system. With preop diet and surgery thus far I've lost 18 lbs. I'm not upset at how my weight is dropping I just want to work out honestly. I try to walk a lot during the day bc I love to exercise. I'm sure my doc will be mad that I advanced myself on soft foods 1 week early, but I need the energy. I go back to work tomorrow and everything has healed well for me. I'll try to eat healthier soft foods like non fat Greek yogurt tomorrow. But as for now all is well. I'm a very active person so I want to make sure that my metabolism can keep up with me. My stats are below. First visit: 245 lbs Before preop diet: 236 lbs After preop: 225 lbs Cw: 218 lbs

Chest pains
It could be the gas in your body, make sure that you are walking, mine was the gas in my body!

I'm struggling on my preop diet!! This is what I'm allowed to eat.. and I'm so hungry and work is stressful

Serious heart condition - help?!
I believe that ultimately it will be a hard decision. Something that may help is thinking about to risk of undergoing surgery versus the risk of not. I'm sorry to hear that you have to go through this but I wish you the best of luck.

Awaiting Approval (BCBS FEP)
Well no, honestly if you keep on calling they seem to work faster, once I called 3 days in a row it was magically approved. Haha
