I have basically been hungry since day 2 after surgery. I am 9 days post op and have started getting shaky and light headed, kind of a hypoglycemic feeling. I am getting in my protein and water and have set a timer to remind me to eat every 3 hours. I handle liquids, yogurt and some mushy foods with no issues. I will stop when I feel at little pain at the bottom of my stomach. That might be my "full" but I can't say for certain. Since I am unsure about being full I am portioning out 1/4 to 1/2 cup per meal (depending on consistency).
This might sound stupid but I'm not sure what my body is telling me I need. I know when I would feel like this pre-sleeve I would eat everything I could to make the feeling go away and was rarely successful.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
