I'm 5 days post op 8/2 and have been on a liquid diet since 8/1 and now until 8/23 I had a meltdown earlier thinking I made a terrible mistake that I just want to eat and not drink something I hope as more days pass it gets easier

Hang in there! It gets easier. You can do it. I'm 3 weeks out. Talk with your surgeon maybe they can advance you. Just remember why you did it.

I was the same for a bout a week after and I was crying and really regretting having the surgery once you start to get back to normal foods it will feel normal again I'm fine now so happy I did it

Keep your head up... I'm about 3 months out and I felt exactly like you the first few weeks. This sacrifice now will definitely pay off in due time! Now im 60 lbs down and feel great! Congrats on changing your life!

Im glad im not the only one! Seems like people on here are progressing faster than my surgeon recommended for me and its depressing lol and I feel your pain. I started liquids on July 17th, Surgery on July 31st and cant start pureed foods until August 21st.... 5 weeks of boring liquids. We just gotta keep chugging along and I know itll be worth it!

5 weeks? that's a while I can have pureed starting August 23rd I feel a little better now that I'm able to drink a little more each day

Hello all I'm 5 days post op today. Surgery date was 8/3. I've lost 15 pounds since my surgery. The clear liquid diet is getting old for me. I'm ready to move on. I can't start the full liquid diet until the 17th. How are the rest of you all handling the liquid diets?
