I am also having mine done this month with Dr. Corvala! How exciting, you are only one week out, I'm right behind you on the 21st. Let me know how it goes.

Yes I have heard so much good reviews regarding Dr. Illan. If I do decide to go to Mexico he will be my first choice.

Hi! I am getting my surgery done in Tijuana, Mexico by Dr. Jalil Illan. I've heard nothing but amazing reviews from his patients and I recently met with him via FaceTime. He is so incredibly nice and makes you feel very comfortable. I've been looking into Bariatric surgery for a few years now and have gone through two different doctors in California and I must say that Dr. Illan has made me feel most at ease, confident and not at all worried. I would definitely recommend you looking into him as a surgeon!

I'm considering booking with Dr Ortiz with ALM in August. Any input? He seems to be very highly rated also :)

I'm officially scheduled with Dr.Illan in Mexico on August 18. I'm excited traveling from Orlando, FL to San Diego.

Wow that's really close ! Good lucky and congrats on a new beginning .

I'm considering getting surgery done in Mexico. I have insurance that would pay for it if I had a year of proof that I have been on a diet and on an workout program under a doctors care. I don't have that.

It sounds like getting surgery in Mexico is great! I just am afraid of getting scammed. But I'm ready to take the plung!

That is so cool! So what did you have to do to get to this point (blood work, interviews, doctor visits,).

I am going to have my surgery done in Mexico on August 21st. Initially I was scared cause of the things you hear but a coworker just had hers done and is doing great. Because I know someone who recently did it I feel comfortable. The only thing she regrets is not doing it sooner.

It's so great to know someone else considering mexico for their sleeve. I think my main concern is post op care. I'm concern about leak. I know that doctors here in the US will refuse to fix surgery done in Mexico or even worst insurance will deny coverage to fix anything done outside the US.
