If my cycle starts while in the hospital can I wear a tampon? I'm hoping it won't for a few days after I'm home but even then is it okay to wear?

I had my cycle during surgery and while in the hospital. I made my surgeon aware of it and he told me that using tampons was ok. I'd just let your surgeon know to make sure they approve it as well.

I had mine during surgery, no tampon, but I got a giant pad to wear.

I have a Mirena and still got my period a day or so after surgery. They give you a pad and mesh undies.
