I had my cycle during surgery and while in the hospital. I made my surgeon aware of it and he told me that using tampons was ok. I'd just let your surgeon know to make sure they approve it as well.

My came in the hospital and they gave me a pad. So no worries the will give you win if it does.

I had Mine and didn't realise till I was out of surgery hahaha embarrassing right but I really didn't care at the time

I had mine during surgery, no tampon, but I got a giant pad to wear.

I have a Mirena and still got my period a day or so after surgery. They give you a pad and mesh undies.
