Stupid question

2 weeks post op. Can too much water/fluids stretch your sleeve? I don't drink anything 30-45mins prior to having my puréed meals or after. And I just constantly try and sip shakes or water throughout the day.

Really trying to take care of my new stomach.

You won't stretch it out from liquids

I was scared about stretching my stomach from liquids also but you're fine and some of us still can only manage liquid intake better than any foods

Thanks guys. I feel I can eat more of my puréed foods and I was wondering if maybe I'd stretched my stomach already through all the liquids I'd been drinking but I guess as I heal I'll consume be able to consume more...

You will notice you can tolerate more food the further out you get. Right now your stomach is still healing and as the swelling goes down there will be more room for food. You will also notice some food goes down a lot easier than others and you can eat more of it. Follow your doctors portion control and you will be fine.
