May Sleevers?

  • Popular Post

So finally got my date and it is May 11th. Are there any other May sleevers out there who want to join me in this journey?

I also invite the veterans to join and guide us May sleevers through the process.

Well, I'm having the sleeve done on May 1! I was originally scheduled in November 2016 but had to cancel last minute due to complications from diabetes. Hey, so I'm in a Facebook group for November 20

Ugh! So lucky with no pre op diet! Definitely no fun! Sadly still 10 more days to go. Hope it gets better!

But you are going to rock it after that [emoji109]

Hi my op is booked for may 8th. Feeling very lonely as I have just moved to my husbands town and don't really know anyone. This journey is very scary when you can't sit down with a girlfriend and talk about it as much as I love my husband he is a great support but sometimes you just need another girl. Anyway wishing everyone luck I really can't wait to start living my life again. X

You got all the girlfriends ya need right here. Just text. I get alerts right off and answer unless I am asleep. You all are my life line.

I don't know about anyone else but I am glad for the liquid diet. My bmi is 58 I think and I am hoping that shrinking my stomach and liver will give them more room to do the laperscopic surgery. Would much rather drink my diet for 2 weeks than have the open surgery.

I am on the 10th too :)

Hey everyone...I just created a Facebook page for our May group. It is May 2017 sleevers. Send me a join request. This thread is so big and hard to follow. Hopefully that will be easier! Jessica

I did a search but could not find the group

Never mind, I am assuming you closed it, I did put in a request for the other page :)

Anyways, I am scheduled for my band removal/sleeve surgery on May 5, I have a strict liquid only 800 calorie 2 week pre op diet. Today was day one and it sucked:(

I searched 2017 sleevers then looked for the month. It came up under pages tab.

My pre-op diet is a little different then others. I had to buy optifast from my dietician to do for 2 weeks. So I have the protein chicken soups, shakes, and also protein bars they sell. So not an all liquid diet. Then I can have popsicles that are less than 20 calories, and low sodium broths. I start all this on 4/19.

Mind is is not totally liquid either I can have oatmeal I have a sugar free hello or a salad but just vegetables in it vegetable soup only to have three protein drinks a day I'm able to get fruit cups sugar free Popsicles and Jell-O girl I am still hungry Lol

So my dietician has be doing 1 week modified fast. 4 protein shakes a day. All the vegetable I want except starches. Fish grilled or baked. And Sugar free popsicles

the day before surgery. Clear fluids only.

Go figure so many variations
