May Sleevers?

So finally got my date and it is May 11th. Are there any other May sleevers out there who want to join me in this journey?

I also invite the veterans to join and guide us May sleevers through the process.

I have my appointment with the anesthesiologist tomorrow and scheduled for bypass surgery on May 30! I'm getting super nervous because I have never had surgery before [emoji46][emoji40]

Ok ya'll....my surgery is the 24th. I begin my liquid diet the 17th...I am having such a hard time getting off the coffee in the morning. The head aches are awful. Today I had fasting pre op bloodwork and thought ok...time to quit the coffee. Well...my head is pounding. I have limited myself to one cup a day in the morning...surely it shouldn't be this hard...or painful. Any suggestions?

I had same problem. Lots of water to flush it out and tylenol. I drank three to four cups a day. After two days you should be good.

Good luck!

My surgery is scheduled for May 26th. In Tijuana, Mexico. I get super nervous and super excited. I've never had any surgery before, so that part is what I am nervous about.

Welcome! My surgery was May 9th. I hope you are doing well. This is such a great forum, I hope you find as much support and fellowship here as I have.

I have been having a lot of difficulty getting in my protien anyone else experiencing this? If I do yogurt I get sick and everything seems to be too sweet (even sugar free). I'm worried about healing without the necessary nutrients. Any suggestions?

Everyone is nervous before. I was sleeved on May 9th without complications. Yes, there is pain. Yes, there are challenges. It is one day at a time. I tell you it has only been over a week and I feel amazing. Every day I feel better, I look better, and I am thankful every day that I had this procedure. I am so excited for you. Stay positive!

Try Unjury Unflavored protein powder. You have to order it online. 20 grams in each scoop and it truly tastes like nothing. I put it on everything. I found a chicken and beef broth with 5 grams per half cup, I add the powder. I also drink it with apple juice and all I taste is the apple juice. Try Oikos triple zero yogurt, vanilla flavored. It has 15 grams of protein per serving. Not sweet and pretty tasty. I also order a chewable multi-vitamin from Unjury.com called Opurity and that is helpful.

I get my 60 grams of protein relatively easy, with the help of this powder.

I wish you all the best.

My surgery is May 22nd I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I've been waiting months for this surgery. My original date was march 17 but my thyroid levels were not stable enough to clear me. Now I just pray that when I enter the hospital and they do labs everything is good.
