Hey! My name is Jennifer and I started my journey over a year ago. I was supposed to have the surgery in June but I didn't get to have it done then. I changed programs to Foothills Weight Loss Center with Dr. Colquitt in Knoxville, TN and I'm so glad I did. I had my surgery March 8 and I just had my one week post-op visit. I lost six pounds in six days. My surgery went seamlessly, so I'm blessed. I'm excited for the rest of this journey to unfold.

I am 30 years old and a public school teacher.

I went through a divorce in November of 2015 and that made up my mind to have this done. I have been ready for the hard work and to help build my confidence. It'll be nice to meet new people going through the same thing I am.

Congrats Jennifer!!! Keep up the great work. My date is 3/31, I hope my surgery goes as seamlessly as yours did.

Are you back to work yet? If not, how long did you take off from work? So far, what have you found is the most challenging of the whole process?

I am on spring break this week but I will return on Monday. It was challenging for me at the hospital to only have 1 oz of water an hour because my mouth was so dry. It's also hard to get all 64 fl oz of water. You have to space it out just right.
