One of my sons is a phenomenal athlete (track, cross country, swimming, and soccer). Since surgery he's worked with me to find exercise I like and when I travel he sends me reminders to hit the hotel gym. Even though he can run circles around me, for months he's gone with me at 430 AM, three days a week, when I go running/jogging. One of the indicators he was most concerned about was my high resting heart rate (and my BP). For the last few days my resting HR has been really great- a huge change since last July when I had WLS. After this morning's run, he gave me one of his track gold track medals and told me that my heart is getting slower and his is getting bigger because he is so proud of his "little mom."
