How far post op are you?

I've had (and still have) issues with water. It hits the gut pretty like a cramp, or "lands hard" as my nurse put it, although the effect seems to be less and less.

Could it be your stomach handles warm water better than cold? Hence the tea being fine?

I am a 8 days post op and the only way I can drink water is if I leave it out for a little while.

Maybe your pouch likes the cold Chai Tea but not cold water. Maybe try room temperature water or even warm it a little. At first I couldn't drink anything cold. But after some weeks, I could drink cold decaf coffee. Just keep trying different things.
