Salads and protein

I'm two months post op and can now have regular food. How do you eat a salad when it's combined with protein and veggies? For example the nits and chicken is mixed it? I can't eat protein first in this case?

I started eating small salads around 8 weeks post op. I tolerated them really well.

What I do is weigh my chicken out (2-3 ounces) and put it on top of my greens. I make sure I eat all my chicken and a some of the greens. I can't eat a big salad like I could before surgery, but I have found that I can eat quite a bit of lettuce--more than I can any other vegetable.

I do similar. iI weigh out 3 ounces of protein, and about an ounce and a half of shredded lettuce. I use creamy balsamic dressing, low calorie, or oil and vinegar.
