Back Pain?

Anyone experience back problems after surgery and losing weight? I'm about 9 months post op and have lost a total of 230 pounds. I never had back pain before but now my back hurts when I'm sitting at work, sitting in my car, or standing for a while. I figured losing weight would help with back pain but it's actually giving me pain. Not sure if my posture somehow got out of whack or what.

My back was killing me for the first 5mths post op. I started seeing a chiropractor and he said that it had to do with the drastic change in body shape. Basically, your back had to reshape and conform to "a new you". Because you weren't carrying as much weight. It does get better. I was getting adjustments for 6 mths after my surgery. I am almost one year out and it's alot better. Good luck and congratulations and the weight loss.

I am 3 months post op and have bad back pain and shoulder pain. I agree with the above that it's the body getting used to the weight loss. I take tramadol when it gets too bad that I can't sleep. Well done on your loss that's a massive effort :)
