Low Calcium?

I'm 2 months out from my RNY and I just realized today (after meeting with my NUT) that I've been taking my Calcium wrong!!

I didn't realize a serving was TWO tablets, so I had been taking one at a time.

I've unfortunately been getting in half the calcium I need, so I wonder if my calcium is low.

I've been having horrible insomnia (a symptom of calcium deficiency) and I wonder if it could be related to this!

My levels won't be checked until I'm 6 months out, so other than correcting the dose now, is there anything else I can do?

I should have been more clear.

I meant about the insomnia help. Like is fixing the possible deficiency the only thing that will help.

I didn't have any problems with insomnia. I did have some leg craps which is associated with a Calcium deficiency. [A leg cramp, or charley horse, occurs when a leg muscle suddenly tightens, causing pain that at times can be severe. Lack of either calcium or potassium can be the cause of cramps in the legs. The minerals calcium and potassium are electrolytes, meaning they carry electrical impulses that control the muscles.]

costco has their calcium citrate and it is one tablet per serving vs. other brands of two tablets per serving.
