Starving

I had my surgery last wed (feb 1) and this afternoon I started to feel like I'm starving. My stomach is "growling" like it's empty and needs food. I'm drinking my fluids, eating popcicles and jello and broth but still feeling like I could eat my arm I'm so hungry. I feel like I've been tricked! Anyone else feel this way?

I wanted something more filling a few days post op also. Maybe you are ready to try yogurt or a few sips of protein shake?

I used to get crazy hungry on that stage. I would take no sugar added apple sauce and mix it with diluted apple juice and that helped sometimes.

I am 9 months out and I snack on 100 calories very very low sugar added soft tofu. It's filling and not at harmful as other Desserts. I wish I had discovered this when I was in my purée phase.

It's 150 grams so you can make three desserts from it. I don't eat it all at once.

Be sure to stick to your diet and take your acid reducers. Maybe try to distract yourself... start a crossword puzzle or something to take your mind off baby tummy. (I swear these tummies are like real babies. Some are easy-peasy, not a moments trouble.....others cry nonstop!).
