All the plans are so different so its hard to say how quick it will take. Doctor's office told me 15 business days, but I called insurance company and asked them directly how long the pre approval process takes. Rep. told me 2-15 days but it ended up being only 3 days. February 6, 20179 yr Author Aggravated today, insurance has already approved but doctor hasn't received anything. Upon receipt of APPROVAL, doctor has to reverify insurance. I don't understand why they have to reverify when they just got approval, makes no sense to me. Why would insurance send approval if I'm not covered? I am trying to be calm and not frustrated but its not easy!

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App No they didn't. I magically received an email about 20 minutes after calling that they received the approval. It's not the doctor, its his office staff. I love the doctor but his office staff is terrible! My doctor is in Houston.
