  11. It isn't secret because I would have had to invite people individually, and I didn't want people putting their emails out into the world. However, there is no reference to surgery or weight loss in the title or description of the page, so outsiders will have no idea what the group is about [emoji846]

  17. I've created a March Facebook group for anyone who's interested. It's a closed group, and I did not include the words "sleeve" or "bariatric surgery" anywhere in the content that is viewable to the public, for those of you that wish to keep your surgery private. I could not make it "secret" without knowing everyone's email addresses and adding them personally. You can search for March 2017 Advice and Support or click on the link below: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1391677344221994/
  18. My doctor told me today that there is new research to suggest that the pre-op "liver shrinking" is unnecessary with the advancement in laparoscopic procedures. She also said that my liver would have to be double its normal size to actually be in her way, which it's not.
  19. 1st week in March...will get official date next week!
  20. Same here. Full day of clear liquids the day before and nothing after midnight. Sounds good to me!
  21. I'll be joining you the first week in March! No official date yet, but meeting with scheduling next week and signing consents. No pre-op diet for me either! I was super surprised but not at all upset about it. Did your doc say why??
  22. Same for me! I thought I was the only one. 24 hour liquid diet the day before surgery, and I only lost 3 pounds in my 6 month pre-op diet. My bmi is 42. I'm not complaining though [emoji23]
  23. FINALLY approved! I got a big packet from my surgeons office with post op diet info, but pre-op just says "only clear liquids the day before surgery". Does that mean I don't have a pre-op diet?? I'm not complaining, just confused lol. Side note: February sleevers had a Facebook group. Would anyone be interested in a private group like that?
  24. Congratulations! How long ago did you submit? I'm anxiously awaiting approval myself
