March Sleevers

I'm so excited! The surgeon is going to call me this week to schedule my surgery for March! I wish it could be sooner but I have to wait until we get our taxes back to take off work. Anything i can do before hand to help myself and my husband prepare for this life changing event? So ready to live again!

Hi everyone! I'm having my lap band removed on 2/13, and for some odd reason, I'm really nervous. The surgery to put it in was the easiest surgery I've ever had, but with the removal, I'm scared to death. Has anyone else gone through the lap band removal before a VSG before? If so, please share your stories with me. My VSG surgery date is 3/16 and I'm super excited for that day and every single day afterward!!!

I'm on the 16th too! Where is your surgery?

Are you in the least worried about having surgery in Mexico?

I was at first. Seemed like a CRAZY idea. So, I picked one of the expensive Mexico options. The OCC hospital is accredited and everything I've found on the surgeon is positive.

I've heard some great things and some not so great things about it. My husband had to be hospitalized in Cancun and it was some of the finest medical care that he's ever had! I'd have no problems doing it in Mexico at all!
