Pre-op protein

So on Monday I start my pre-op diet. Which consist of many Protein shakes throughout the day. I've been doing a lot of research on different types of Protein Shakes but I still can't seem to decide. The nutritionist suggest the Protein shake has more than 20 grams of protein per scoop. Anyone has any suggestions they might want to share? I like chocolate flavored anything to be exact.

Try checking out your local GNC. They can help. I've been on the preformix 22g protien 3g sugar and 6g carb 140cal per scoop mixed with water. I have chocolate. Tastes super yummy.

I've hated every brand and every flavor I've tried... but Premier chocolate (though I hated it at first) has grown on me and now it's the only one I will use.

I'm going to have a hard time after surgery, though... can't use straws then, and right now I have to use one to drink it so it doesn't touch much of my tongue.

The other flavors of Premier I don't care for... the new caramel is specifically gross IMO

I'm drinking Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard whey Isolate. I got a 6.6 lb bag from costco for $44. According to my husband Isolate Protein is absorb faster, Since we're going to have a hard time absorbing protein we figured it made sense to go with this brand. You can also get it at GNC, Vitamin Shoppe.

How soon do you start drinking the shakes before your surgery I'm trying to have surgery in June and I meet with the doctor in three days to start the process. I know you need to lose 10% of your weight before surgery is it good to start the shakes this soon.
