Definitely don't do it! Especially not with corn chips and crackers! I wasn't allowed any "crunchy" foods for three full months post-op! Cravings are just that. Cravings. You don't have to give into

So, you joined this site yesterday morning, you have two posts and one of them is advising someone to eat crackers and corn chips at 5 weeks out. Fabulous!! Welcome to BP.

Good solid advice, too!!

When you get cleared for crunchy veggies, get carrot chips- -the raw rounds. They are a fantastic vehicle for hummus and salads.

I was cleared by my NUT for whole wheat crackers. I was told I had to let them desolve in my mouth and limit to a couple not the whole box. I know it's hard to wait but don't eat anything crunchy until your cleared my your doctor.

Just a side note my nut wants me to have some carbs in my diet. Yours may have a different plan for you!

Good luck!

Corn chips may be a trigger food. I would pass them up.

I am allowed crunchy food now. I found some lentil crackers at home goods and was able to eat a couple and stop. But if I tried corn chips that would just lead to other bad choices.

I need some carbs or I feel foggy and fatigued. I try for good carbs though.

Like I tell my 17 year old daughter when she leaves the house. " make good choices"

Good luck in your choices may they be good ones!
