My periods have always stopped when I hit 230 lbs. We have five kids and I never got pregnant weighing more than 190. Do keep in mind that a weight loss as little as 10% can trigger ovulation!

Hey gals,
So I've had this issue ever since I got my first period because (according to my doctors) I've been overweight. Although I wasn't that overweight as a teenager, I had gained into my twenties and let me tell you, I have never had a consistent period. Maybe a dozen times over the years. I'm 24 now and I'm at 275. It will only regulate if I take birth control but I'm not on it right now because I'm not sexually active for the time being and I also don't want to have it mess with me trying to lose weight.
Had anyone else been in the same boat and did it come back post op after significant weight loss?
People always tell me check my thyroid but its fine. Wondering if I have PCOS or something. I also have thin hair which sucks!
