How long for gas pains?

How long was it before the pain from the gas left you? I'm 4 days post op today but just came home yesterday. Just wondering how long to expect this... I suspect most of my pain I'd actually more that than the actual surgery.

    It was day 6 when I looked at my husband and said, "Hey! My gas pain is gone!" It was really bad in my left shoulder, above my collar bone. It always settles there for me. And one day, all of a sudden, it was gone.

    I am also 5 days post op also... Very uncomfortable, today I am getting dressed and walking more. One day at a time.
