@Loviedovie I made a recommendation on one of your other posts. Can't prevent it from happening just take sips and protein and I also bought a hair fiber filler powder that you can put in the thinning areas on Amazon. Helped so much.

Hair loss

I have my VSG on 12/30/16 and I Have lost TONS of hair. Totally noticeable thinning hair, all over my head. I have lost total of 68lbs so far. I have been taking my vitamins and just started using this scalp spray called " PHYTO SPECIFIC " hoping it will it helps my hair grow back quicker. I know the shedding can't really be stopped but as long as I see some new growth, I'll be happy. I'm also going to see my PCP to see if I can get on Sprinolatcone. It is potassium sparing/aldosterone antagonist that is used for high blood pressure and can cause hair growth .

Also, those hair fibers are for real saving me from a breakdown. They are good for covering the bald spots

I don't want to jinx it but I too feel like my hair loss has slowed down a bit. Still losing but not as much as before. I went to my PCP and I asked her to put me spironolactone which will also help my hair grow back.
