    Hair loss?

I heard hair loss happens between 3-7 months. Your experiences? Is it inevitable? Even if we're on top of vitamins and protein?

    Vsg & keto?

After surgery were most definitely in ketosis...now I am on to lifestyle living and trying to find the style of diet that works for me. Ketogenic is something I have come to over and over again. Then I get a delicious carb inside of me and before I know it i can't stop. Does anyone here follow keto diet? What are your results, share your experiences. Thanks!
  3. & I'm freaking out. I know for most folks it's temporary and I already have some frizzy baby hairs coming in but holy shit... I started using castor oil so I hope that helps, besides the average biotin what did you all use?

  5. Almost 4 months out and I haven't made it to a single support group. My hospital hosts 2 every week, and every week on those 2 days I prepare myself to go and I never make it. I have planned to go this evening at 630. Right about now I am second guessing myself and convincing myself I do not need to go even though I think about it every week. Does anyone else face this issue. I know it's a positive thing and I'm being encouraged by others around me to attend. I do not know why I never show up.

    Hospital support group

Well the thing is I want to go. I think of it often and I never actually get there. It's like I talk myself out of it which is what I don't understand

    Already sleeved question

There's nothing easy about a lifetime of food restrictions. Kindly ask them to educate themselves

  10. 3.5 months out -62 lbs. How do you guys stay motivated and feel supported!! I feel like I can hardly see a change in real life. Obviously it helps tremendously to compare photos. I'm taking a moment to Celebrate myself as I am having a hard time these days! 62 lbs gone forever and many more to come. ????

    I did't realize

I am in the same boat. I went jogging today for the first time ever. I've still got a long ways to go but it is a surprise that we feel the difference and how far we've actually come! Keep dancing

    NEED SUPPORT :(

Oh yeah that's the rough part. Honestly I watched food porn. Food network, tasty and buzz feed cooking tutorials. I even got some bomb recipes that I could make vsg friendly. The mental stimulation was enough for me. I am aware it may make others go insane but for me it was all I had!!! Give it a shot ????
  15. What are some of your favorite snacks for on the go?
  16. NurseBec

    Favorite snacks ?

I agree. I consider snacks the same as meals and vice versa. I'm just getting bored and want to get more creative. I eat nuts yogurt cheeses lunch meats. As a grab and go thing but I'm just so over it. I wanna make a meal and then eat it multiple times. I've tried the quiche or the egg muffins and after eating it more than once it makes me weird nauseous! But it always has so it's not a sleeve thing

    3years out with severe heartburn

I am not a doctor but I have experienced similar things. It was so horrendously bad that I have been admitted to hospital to run tests thinking it was something much worse than gerd. I take PPI's everyday now and try my absolute best to maintain an alkaline diet. Alkaline water, absolutely no tomatoes anything no sausages, straightforward simple foods. Baked or boiled chicken, carrots, sometimes bananas. Bananas affect everyone differently sometimes it makes it better and sometimes worse. Try checking out what "lifestyle changes" u can make. I quote it because it sounds like Bullshit but for us it's real life. These things help me. Good luckkk.

    Air bubbles after eating

That happened to me. The best thing I can do is deep meditative breaths. In through the nose out through the mouth, and ambulation is your friend. Everytime I felt discomfort I just walked up and down my street and I felt better. Even if I could only make it half. I walked until I couldn't. Obviously I didn't push myself to the extreme but it worked for me!

    Favorite snacks ?

Those are all great snacks. I spend a lot of time running around so I try to prep for stuff like that.
  20. I need friends I can relate to! Are you out there? Platonic wls friends!
  21. Always have water with you and ambulate! You need to get your body functioning after the surgery, going 8 hours+ without urination isn't good if it persists you should contact your surgeon. I used gas x to break up gas and it helped. Along with moving and getting blood flowing. Everytime I felt uncomfortable I just walked until I couldn't anymore. That helped too because it tired me out so I just slept through all the pain and discomfort
