Could I get denied?

Has anyone heard of anyone getting denied for surgery because they do not have any other issues like diabetes or sleep apnea? I have heard of some insurance companies denying someone because they do not have any other issues besides being overweight. My BMI is 42 and I do not have any other health issues. I have Tricare and I'm concerned they may not approve me for those reasons. Thanks in advance

It all depends on your insurance, but with a bmi over 40 you should qualify without any comorbities. My insurance requirements are bmi over 40 or bmi over 35 with a condition, like hbp, sleep apnea, diabetes to name a few. You should be able to go online and check your insurance requirements.
