Some names I assumed by your user name, so correct me if I got it wrong! Send me any corrections or updates and I'll correct it for the next;Roll Call. Let's all think good thoughts for Sonic777 that her surgery doesn't have to be delayed. How difficult to be ready, excited, nervous, and then possibly have to wait longer. We are hear for ya! Let us know.

I am being banded October 15 -- 8 more days. I'm nervous and excited at the same time, very confusing!

Hi all. My date is just 4 days away and I am very nervous. I am more concerned with recovery, I am going back to work on Monday, 4 days post op. I am a kindergarten teacher, so I dont do heavy lifting or anything like that...it is just the pace of the day that is worrying me. I sure hope all goes well. I have told no one at work about the surgery. Only my hubby, mom and 2 friends know I am having the surgery!

Well, doing much better today as far as gas pain. I think I am trying to get too much in too soon. I feel like I need to burp but cannot, which is good because it would probably be a productive one.

The port was very sore fiorst two days and has settled down now. The doc fixed me up with a great anti-nausea drug so I have not had to contend with that.

I still feel anxiety and would love to hear about your success after surgery. I weighed, and know I am suppose to do so only once a week....but can't seem to wait! I am down about three pounds, lost 10 during pre-op.

Hi all, I was banded on Saturday 6th October. I have to admit I'm struggling - spent last night and the one before sitting up as every time I lie down I vomit. The ports have been a little uncomfortable but nothing too drastic. I feel like I have the worst reflux - pain in my chest like a lump that is only relieved when I vomit/reflux. Obviously aware that vomiting is a no, no so I'm trying to stay upright. Finding it difficult to keep even small sips of water down but I know it's only day two post op. Anyone out there? Feeling very sorry for myself!

Hello all!

I'm scheduled for banding on the 16th I'm scared, excited, nervous, all at the same time. I'm a little nervous about taking care of my son. I'm a single mother and my son is 2. He still needs to be picked up to be put in his car seat and crib, etc. Hopefully I can figure out how to do it with out damaging myself when my surgery is complete!

I'll be praying for all the October bandsters to be.

Janet - If you have someone that can help with your son a few days ask them. I have a 15 month old and if my DH hadn't been around I don't know what I would have done. I was really sore in my abdomen and couldn't have picked her up right at the beginning. Now I am much better, 5 days post, and could pick her up if I needed to. Good luck!
