Acid Reflux

I'm one week out from my surgery! Has anyone had to deal with acid reflux? Called my doctor, waiting for a response! I took omeparzole prior to my surgery!

Two weeks post op today and I have had some severe heartburn that comes and goes, but seems to be getting a little better with time. My surgeon recommended that I just continue with the Omeprazole for now.

I take famotidine because of the long-term effects of some of the other medications but yes the heartburn is so severe sometimes! It's less and less as time goes on but sometimes it'll just pop up in the middle of the night and it hurts so bad, but I still do not regret my surgery

Yes I had this happen 1 week post op too. It was very sudden and severe. I switched from pantaprozale to opramzole (Prilosec) and also drank mylanta / galvescon. It coated my esophagus and helped immensely.
