Mine was just approved last month. I confirmed that BCBS received it on a Friday and when I called BCBS MN the next Thursday they told me it had been approved on Tuesday. So, 2 business days.

I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not because I have BCBS TN, but mine took 8 days with 2 phone calls. They told me this is a very busy time of year.

I have BCBS in Maryland and I got my approval in 1 day!!

Make sure your surgeon's office knows what they are doing to submit because I was told by my surgeon that if you get denied the first time, it can be very difficult to overturn.

Has your paperwork been submitted? I have the same insurance company and am wondering how fast they we'll hear back.

Did BCBS mn require the 6 month diet plan? I am just curious bc I did a year long Dr supervised diet plan 2 years ago and I am wondering if that will work in substitute?

my current BMI is 38, comorbidities are Asthma, High glucose, High triglycerides, djd in my right knee and gallbladder disease.

I see Dr on Monday and I am just sick with anticipation

I have Anthem BCBS of CA and I was approved in two days. Through my specific insurance, I was required to do a 6-month program with my surgeon's Bariatric office

They require it be within one (1) year of surgery.

I have Anthem BCBS PPO through Pepsi Co and I was literally accepted within a day. Through Pepsi, though, we're assigned a bariatric RN who helps with submission and such. We submitted on Friday and I was approved by Monday. BCBS is usually pretty quick with approval, from my understanding.
