First stool....painful [emoji20]

I had my surgery three weeks ago. Today is the first time I actually have to go to the bathroom and I've been trying for the past three hours and it has been the most painful experience of my life. I kind of experienced this twice after both of my children's births, but this time is far worse. Any advice on how to get through this?

I've never had an enema, but it looks like that's what I need. I'm sending hubby now to get one. I really need this to work. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My take : Yes on the enema and suppositories and smooth move tea .... some of us vets say it is like passing a pineapple. Ouch! In the beginning[emoji531][emoji531] Best of luck. You may take a whil

I also drank 10 cups of Water a day and took stool softeners 2 nights in a row. You could try all that cause it is dangerous not to go!! Sorry if this was too much info!!

Hold the enema as long as possible even though it may feel painful. There will be a better benefit that way!!

  • 3 weeks later...

I was told if you don't go for 3 days to take stool softeners. If needed take Miralax .Usually the stool softeners work the best for me.
