  1. I just don't get it. I'm six months out and have only lost 50 pounds. I'm averaging 8 pounds a month. I've been stalked pretty much for a month now. My results may not reflect it, but I don't cheat, I work out, I follow doctor's orders and I'm not getting the results I thought I would. I know there's the right side that at least I'm still losing, however it's incredibly discouraging when I'm not meeting my goals or my doc's goals and all she can say is stuff like you're not where you should be or I don't know why you're not losing [emoji20] Sorry, rant over. Just feeling really discouraged and like a failure.

    Any slow losers?

I've lost about 45 pounds since I had my surgery Nov 7, 2016. I know ppl who had GB the same month as I and have lost weight between 60-80 pounds. I'm very careful and at most have 750 calories a day, and follow the doc's rules. I'm feeling pretty discouraged with my slow weight loss.

    Slow weight loss

I've lost almost exactly as much as you and I'm almost 5 months out. It's very discouraging, especially when I see others lose 60-80 pounds at this point. I just have to keep reminding myself that at least I lost something and didn't gain it.
  4. Do you guys use anything to help try and hope that skin won't stay too flabby? I know there's going to be excessive skin no matter, but I'd like to actively try something to help. Any recommendations? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. How do you guys handle your quick weight loss online? I'm not really up for telling everyone only a select few close friends and family about my surgery. I've hesitated to post pics because of the questions I might get, but at the same time I'd love to post.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Alcohol

My doc approved me for alcohol at my 2 month check up. He advised a very small amount, but I haven't tried it yet cause many ppl have told me to wait a year. That and I really haven't had an occasion where I wanted to drink. When I do...it'll probably be a bit of wine since I'm not much of a beer or liquor drinker Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I had GB surgery Nov. 8. I dropped 26 pounds in the first three weeks. I hit the expected three week stall and didn't lose any weight for about two weeks then I suddenly dropped 6 pounds. I weigh myself once a month because I know it can be addictive. Well I haven't felt any difference in my body so curiosity got the best of me. Since Dec 18th, I weigh the SAME! I haven't lost any weight or inches since then and it's almost been a month. Does this sound right to you guys? I do about 600-700 calories a day, 60 oz of Water, 60-70 Protein, and I try to stay under 15 carbs a day. Please explain what I'm doing wrong . I read a few success stories if ppl that have lost at least 40 pounds two months out, and while I know we shouldn't compare cause everyone loses different, I can't help but feel disappointed in myself. I still haven't been approved for working out since I still have pain and pulling in my left side but I just don't think that's it...I welcome positive criticism so if you feel like I'm doing this wrong I'm all ears with a solution to my problem. 11. I'm six weeks post-op and craving sushi. I don't need the rice sushi. Is it ok to eat sushi...doesn't fish have protein? Opinions?

    Sushi: Yay or Nay?

So I finally had sushi after craving it for weeks and it was delicious! I had sashimi in a seaweed wrap. I was pleased to see how much Protein I got from it. I was a bit nauseous the next day, but I'm not sure if it was from the sashimi or something else. I'm thinking it's something I'll do every now and then. Bariatric Eating

I'm a newbie, 7 weeks post- This is where I'm at now and struggling to finish . To think before my surgery, I would've served a full plate of Christmas dinner left overs and still have room for dessert. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. I had my surgery three weeks ago. Today is the first time I actually have to go to the bathroom and I've been trying for the past three hours and it has been the most painful experience of my life. I kind of experienced this twice after both of my children's births, but this time is far worse. Any advice on how to get through this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
