Congratulations!! Welcome home to the family! I promise you, it was tough my first day too. It will become better as time goes on....WALKING is a major key. Go a few steps the first time, the next go farther, then go half way down the hall, then you'll be taking laps around that hospital. I know the pain is ALOT, and it will get better!! The hardest part is over- you made it.

There will be up and downs...drink your fluids...sip all day long....walking is super important...I started by walking all the way to the end of my block....lol....about 3 houses away....but built it up from there...

Sounds like you're doing well, getting up and about, the pain sounds awful, how long are you thinking you'll need to/want to stay in hospital? My op is due end Nov, excited but scared. Sending good wishes.

I know I am not getting enough water, can feel it. I will drink but get afraid that I can't tell the difference between full pains or gas pains

Take small sips - the fluids will go right thru sleeve so it shouldn't fill your stomach. Good luck!
