Has anyone tried the vitamin patches or using the patches if so how are they working for you are they any good, is it worth getting?

I'm wondering the same thing. The post op multi Vitamins are disgusting. I can barely get them down.

I've been using the patch MD multi Vitamin patch since my pre-op liquid diet. I have to say I noticed an immediate difference in energy levels. I've now ordered the other Patches I'll need. the nice thing is you can start them right away post op so I'm getting Vitamins immediately after surgery, where my docs' other patients don't get them until they are on Purees on week 3.

I like them, much easier than the pills. Definitely an increase in energy with the B12. I was cautioned by my nut to take the Calcium orally as there isn't good absorption with the Patches.

I had never heard of vitamin patches. I am going to have to check them out. Does anyone have a recommendation as to where is the best place to buy them?

I use the ones for sale on the BP store.

They are one less pill to swallow!

The adhesive is not great,

but it stays on for 24 hours

if you stick it on when you are dry.

I'm still on my 6 month pre-op diet, 2 months in. I asked my nurse about the Patches and she said that medical studies have shown the absorption of the Vitamins to be very inconsistent and did not recommend them.

My surgery isn't until the 27th but I asked my doctor about them. He hadn't heard of them. It said try them because they can't hurt. At least I will be getting something immediately after surgery unlike his other patients.
