Major regret.

I had my sleeve done on Tuesday. I am still in a crazy amount of pain. To be expected. What I didn't realize was going to happen was going to be how hard it is to get fluids in. Currently the only thing i can get down is hot Water or hot tea. But even when i take super tiny sips of those they sit at the bottom of my esophagus and gurgle till it goes into my pouch. It's very nauseating and painful. I'm definitely in the regret stage in this surgery :( Did this happen to you?? Does it get easier?

I feel for you, honey. I was in the same boat! I am now 2 years post op and loving my life! :) For the first 10 days I was miserable and hated my decision. Everyone on this site was amazing and told me it would get better. They were right! It gets better :) hang in there! I found that chewing or sucking on ice chips helped get some water down and also, making Popsicles with the flavored protein helped me to get it down.

I know it sucks right now but I promise like everyone has said, it does get better!!! You will start feeling a little bit more normal everyday, just be patient and let your body heal! Good luck!!! :D
