  1. Now that I have your attention. Many of you lied or maybe many of you just suck because this has been easier for you lol. HW-283 SW-253 (9/6/16) CW-225 I am struggling. Mentally mostly. The cravings are not gone like many of you said. "Oh you won't want any of that stuff after surgery." Eating is definitely not something I enjoy anymore but the cravings are still really strong. Eating out with family is still super depressing as everyone is having all this delicious bread and chips and other "no" foods. Even when I eat something I enjoy I can only have couple bites before I feel like I could throw it back up. Why is this so hard for me?!?! This holiday season will for sure kill me... Does this get easier with time? I'm 5 weeks post op. Am I expecting too much too soon? TIA ChelsiCurrently

    Depression after surgery?

Post op depression happened to me too. I'm still there a lil bit but soooo much better. My hospital stay was rough but what helped me the most was being active. Not nursing my wounds so to speak. I was back at work 2 days post op. Also once your off a liquid diet it will get better. liquid diet made me mean... lol I'm still depressed about my food breakup but it's slowly getting better. I'm sure once I'm off soft foods it will be even better. Good luck to you! Hang in there! Not sure where you are located but if were close we can totally connect! ChelsiCurrently

    Dehydration question

I am 20 days post op and Inhabe had to get fluids twice. Both times I had dry mouth for 3 days and got super light headed. No energy and dark urine. After I get fluids I feel better. I am struggling really bad with my Fluid intake. It makes me nauseous even with the smallest sips. I usually only get in about 24 oz a day It makes me super emotional and feeling like a failure. 5. I am 4 days post op and scrolling through these posts and I have yet to see someone with a shape like mine with a before and after pic. I have a B shaped belly. So my belly button divides the two rolls. I call them my top belly and bottom belly (fupa). I am curious as to how many of them look after the weight loss. I understand all skin is different. Anyone shaped like me mind posting before and afters?? ChelsiCurrently

    B shaped belly

I don't see a lot of tummy pictures on here but I see tons of them on Youtube. Search weight loss, weight loss surgery, before and after, and "skin flicks". You will see lots of different tummies (and arms and legs and backs and butts) both before and after weight loss. Hope this helps. There is actually a ton of before and afters on here if you search before and after i just have yet to see my shape. But thanks! Great idea! ChelsiCurrently
  7. I had my sleeve done on Tuesday. I am still in a crazy amount of pain. To be expected. What I didn't realize was going to happen was going to be how hard it is to get fluids in. Currently the only thing i can get down is hot Water or hot tea. But even when i take super tiny sips of those they sit at the bottom of my esophagus and gurgle till it goes into my pouch. It's very nauseating and painful. I'm definitely in the regret stage in this surgery Did this happen to you?? Does it get easier? ChelsiCurrently

I see. The doctors at Weight Wise call it a pouch so that's what I'm used to calling it. ChelsiCurrently

    Major regret.

They call it a pouch where I'm from. Why wouldn't mine be a pouch? ChelsiCurrently
  11. My consult was 7/1. I have to lose 28 lbs before surgery. So far I'm doing alright lost 7lbs so far. My biggest hurdle will be financing. I have insurance that will absolutely under no circumstances cover WLS. I don't have good credit either. I have a huge support system and they are going to try and help me raise some funds through a garage sale but I really need to get some financing somehow as well. Any one in my same boat have any tips? Thanks in advance! ChelsiCurrently

    Pre op weight loss..

Thanks! I've been eating about 1200-1500 calories a day. Very few carbs. I cut back carbs by almost 95% What would i be weighing with the scale. I currently only drink Water or diet green tea. I could definitely be better about exercising. I was told jerky and turkey bacon were ok. I will cut that out now. ChelsiCurrently
