Financing!

My consult was 7/1. I have to lose 28 lbs before surgery. So far I'm doing alright lost 7lbs so far. My biggest hurdle will be financing. I have insurance that will absolutely under no circumstances cover WLS. I don't have good credit either. I have a huge support system and they are going to try and help me raise some funds through a garage sale but I really need to get some financing somehow as well. Any one in my same boat have any tips? Thanks in advance!

I had to self pay for same reason. No coverage. I applied with Prosper and Care credit. Went with Prosper. Interest rate was a little higher than I would have liked but they offered enough to cover everything. Basically I have a car payment due every month. Do you have access to a credit union. They may have a loan to offer.

Prosper won't consider me because my credit score is about 20 pts too low. I'm not sure what to do besides a 401k hardship loan, but they want bills and surgeon requires $854 up front. I've asked my patient advocate for suggestions, but he hasn't been very helpful with anything else.
