  1. My starting weight was 290 pounds My surgery weight was 275 pounds My current weight is 119 pounds I never really had a goal weight... just to be healthy! I've been at 119 for about a year! Surgery date was 9/11/2014
  2. I feel for you, honey. I was in the same boat! I am now 2 years post op and loving my life! For the first 10 days I was miserable and hated my decision. Everyone on this site was amazing and told me it would get better. They were right! It gets better hang in there! I found that chewing or sucking on ice chips helped get some water down and also, making Popsicles with the flavored protein helped me to get it down.
  3. Haha, thank you Mark you look amazing as well!
  4. You will get there Beth! I was the exact same way. Now I wish I would've taken a lot more pics to show my before. I used to hide from the camera and now I love it.
  5. Everyone looks amazing!!! I remember when I first signed up for this website to see what I was getting myself into. On September 11, 2014 I decided to have the sleeve done. My highest weight was 290 pounds. My surgery weight was 275 and my current weight today is 123. This was the best decision I have ever made! Wish I would've done it sooner!
  6. Yay! So happy I'm not the only one with "shrinking feet syndrome"! Lol I went from a size 9 to7 1/2. I am about 17 months post op.
  7. Hey all! I have lost a total of 160 pounds. My starting weight was 290 before surgery. My surgery date(9/11/2014) I weighed in at 275. I reached my goal weight of 130 pounds @ 16 months. Now I'm just staying steady at 130 pounds
  8. If you are asking me, no i didn't have skin surgery. But I'm hoping to have a tummy tuck within the next year or so. I do have a little skin sagging going on in the belly area.

  14. I was a 44D and now I'm a 36B. My surgery was sept 11, 2014 so I'm coming up on 1 year.
  15. Almost 11 months out and down 133lbs! HW:290 SW:275CW:157
  16. Hey clasnic! I'm in the same boat right now. My hair is falling out like crazy. I told my dr about it and she said it was pretty normal for anyone in the 3-6 month stage. She said our bodies are trying to provide vitamins and nutrients to the more important parts of the body ( heart, lungs, liver, etc.) before it reaches your hair and scalp. Just a hump, but should be over it soon. I'm 5 months post op. She also recommended me to have blood work done to check my thyroid. So I'm hoping that comes back good. Thyroid issues can also cause quite a bit of hair loss.
  17. I just noticed how old this post was.... Sorry guys!
  18. I looooved my surgeon! It was dr Matthew st Laurent located in cypress, tx. I drove about 45 mins just for him. He is totally worth it! I was also a self pay. He provides a nutritionist for you any time you feel you need her! His whole staff is amazing! I recommend him 100%!
  19. Hey fab@@forty! Thanks for asking! I am doing pretty good. I was sleeved sept 11th and as of today I have lost a total of 36 pounds! I still have a ways to go, but definitely feeling more energetic! However, I am having such a hard time eating slow and not having anything to drink with my meals. I just had my 6 week follow up and the dr said I should be consuming around 1400 calories a day. I'm nowhere near 1400 calories a day. I'm lucky if I'm able to get in around 700 at most. How are things with you? Any struggles?
  20. Thank you alfie. I am much better now. Things are turning around
  21. Kelly Green! Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am post op day 9 and feeling pretty good. I still have my downs to all this though. I'm still working my way up to holding in so much liquids and reaching my protein goal. I do have to say, I've come a long way from day two and day three full of regret. I'm not really regretting it so much anymore. How are you doing?
