Gagging...so irritating

I don't think gagging is a phase. Try eating smaller bites or sips and slower. At three weeks your stomach is still swollen and healing and needs some tlc. Bites should be the size of a nickel or smaller. If you are already doing that, I dont know how to help as I didn't experience that.

Sounds like you have gastric reflux. This happened to me too. They added Carafe 30 mins before meals and at bedtime. You need to tell your surgeon or team about you symptoms.

Thanks.. i have sooke to my surgeon he was ne to take the acid pills in the morning abd at night...hopefully this will help. How long dis it last for u?

I used the carafate for about 21/2 weeks. I just had gallbladder removal 4 days ago and my reflux is back now pretty bad bit I was NPO for 4.5 days too

You need to call your bariatric team and tell them you need more meds for gastric reflux. I know how you feel. It will get better and hopefully they will order you some carafate for the acid.
