Hello all! I'm a lurker/rare poster here for the last 6 months or so. And I just got approved for surgery! Surgery date is October 17th! I'm so excited.

Any tips on things to do ahead of time? I've started ordering all kinds of samples of protein shakes and stocking up on vitamins.

I have samples of 310 Shake, Unjury, and some ready to mix shake from the Bariatric pal store. Anyone know of any other place I can get samples from? I just want to stock up on samples both so I'll have some for after surgery and so I can find some I'll like.

Syntrax has samples, and a lot of people like that brand. You can order them directly from them - or else go somewhere like amazon or some other online supplement places. I ordered mine directly from Syntrax. I think they sent me one packet of every flavor.

My surgery is the same day as yours too. Many people have said their taste buds changed drastically after surgery so I am not sticking up too much.
