What are the kinds of food do you eat after surgery? Like 5 days out? I read my book and we are aloud purée chicken 1oz, cream of wheat, cream of oatmeal, cream Soup do y'all know of anything else we could chose from?

I have surgery on the 19th of September. I was told that for the first 3 - 4 weeks after surgery to mostly concentrate on getting my Protein in (shakes) and staying hydrated. Can have sugar free Jello, pudding, sugar-free frozen Popsicles, applesauce.

5 days out i was still on liquids, Jello, popsicles, Protein drinks, broth. at 10 days post op i got to start the soft pureed stuff. scrambled eggs, soft cheeses, tuna, chicken, deli turkey, Peanut Butter, stuff like that! every program is very different though, if you arent sure id call your nutritionist, nurse, or surgeon.
