Help with protein

Hi all! I'm 3 weeks out from surgery and am in the puréed phase. I'm having a hard time getting in my daily Protein and am looking for suggestions on what to eat. My doctor would prefer I not rely on Protein shakes so I'm really struggling. Any help that can be offered is a HUGE help!

At three weeks I was on soft foods so lots of Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, turkey, etc.

I am 3 weeks out as well. Struggling also, but I just started adding unflavored protein to my applesauce and cottage cheese. It has no flavor or taste so very easy to tolerate...good luck!

I'm in Australia and haven't been able to find it anywhere. I make protein balls using a powder and eat them for breakfast and usually hit 70-90 grams a day with them and food alone.

Do you have a recipe for protein balls?

I try to stay away from shakes because I become so dependent on them/replace all of my meals with them. Instead, I eat "normal" now and since I drink a lot of coffee during the day, I just add GENEPRO to my coffee and I can never tell its there! I had it during my pureed stage too and would put it into pudding and stuff. works wonders! it's a tablespoon sized scoop and is 30 grams of protein per scoop.

Where can you get that? Like walmart or GNC?

They're pretty easy, but you have to like peanut paste as you use it as the main binding ingredient. Pm me and I'll email you the recipe if you want [emoji4]

You make a mixture with protein powder and other ingredients (you need something sticky like peanut butter or coconut oil the bind everything together) and you separate and roll them out [emoji4]

I would love the recipe, too, but I don't know how to send PMs.

I too am 4 months out and use Genepro daily. I make fruit smoothies every morning and add two scoops in them. I also add one scoop to my coffee and anything else is a bonus with my food intake! (which isn't much). You can order it on amazon or genepro.com

Sure PM my your email and I'll send it to you.
