I'm grateful that I quit years back.

I went cold turkey, but if I were trying to do so now.....I'd be having a serious conversation with my doctor about Chantix and learning enough to make the decision to use it or not. It seems like it is effective for many.

Yes! I quit cold turkey 3 months ago! It doesn't make sense to go through surgery and still pollute your body with cigarette smoke. I just kept telling myself that I wanted to be healthy more than I wanted to smoke! You CAN do it!

I quit years ago and used the patch. It worked so well for me. In 6 weeks I was done and never smoked another one.

My program requires you to be nicotine free for 2 months. They test you on day of surgery and will cancel if positive for nicotene.
