Try it. I was able to take pills the day after surgery without a problem.

  • You should be scared to take a whole pill so soon after surgery. I was instructed to crush pills because of the risk of the whole pill getting lodged in the incision

Yes that's what I was told today. If u have to take anything then it's Tylenol only. Nothing with aspirin or blood thinner at least a week before surgery

I was told any pills smaller than half an inch were fine. You shouldn't have a problem, but it would be a good idea to call your nurse line to make sure.

Ha ha. My doctor instructed me to not crush pills, that I could take them whole. Sure enough I did starting day 1 and had no problems.

My doctor told me not to crush pills also. He said I could take them whole, one at a time. If they were too big like a vitamin then I could cut them in half. I have taken Tylenol PM a couple of times starting about a week after surgery and didn't have any problems. Just great sleep! I only took one and it worked great. Quick too. Before surgery I would have taken two.

I have had it and had no problems. :)
