Got the blues!

Well, on my 1 week anniversary for my surgery... I got sick..I've been in the er since 4 pm...and we are driving home now 1:28am....I was dehydrated, low potassium count, very low magnesium......iv...iv..ivv....test test test.....even in my weakest.. I've never regretted my decision to not have the surgery until today..... Its been a tough day...

get some gatorade G2 or Powerade zero to help keep your electrolytes balance and be sure to get 60 ounces of fluids in per day - that is vital - all the time from here on out - but especially at the beginning when so many changes are going on. I drank powerade zero through the first month because my stomach had a hard time with accepting plain water. Eventually that got better....it all does - so hang in there - take care of yourself - each day will get easier.

@@fit2bme 2 week post op I ended up in er :'(

Severe abdominal cramping! !

Did cat scan no answers everything looked great...so why am I cramping??? They are assuming its because I can't seem to get my bowels to move :-(

Days later still fighting the battle. Keep your head up just a bump in the road!!

Lete know how you feel :-)

I was told that room temp Water is the way to go but now I'm 3 days shy of one month post op and I am drinking cold water at the gym and keep a 24 oz glass of ice and water with me at all times. We are all different so it's really all you can handle. Good luck.

I'm 6 days post op and went to ER last night with dehydration. I got 2 bags of IV Fluid and felt great after.

It has been so hot here and so hard to drink constantly! But I'm doing the best I can by making sure I drink at least 8 oz/hour. It's been real frustrating for me as well since I'm actually realizing the depth of my food addiction having been on liquids for 3 weeks 1 of which has been Clear Liquids.

I'm still very proud that I have stuck with it and I still believe this will work and I will be happy in the end.
