Time

Does the surgeon give you a date prior to getting approval. Or does he need that approval to give you a date. Finished all my requirements and meeting with my surgeon one more time (tomorrow) before submitting to my ins. When do you think my surgery will be ?

You surgeon will give you a date as soon as insurance approves. Good Luck

I had to wait until insurance came back with the approval to get on the surgeon's schedule. My turn around was a week. I very sweetly called insurance daily.

My surgeon was going to wait until I was approved. However my PCP was not going to fill out the medically necessary form until he had a date, so the surgeon gave him a dummy date. My last 6th month supervised diet visit was 2 days before Thanksgiving. I had to wait until Dec to have the heart and breathing testing done and finally got approved the day before the New Year. Had surgery Jan 26th 2 months after my last supervised diet visit. So depending on your Dr you might get a dummy date.

Mine gave me a date before submitted to insurance. Insurance wanted the date.
