Hi all!! My name is Jackie. I am from PA. I was banded 8/14. Went for my week checkup today and lost 11.5lbs :clap2:. I'm feeling pretty good...hope that keeps up. Anyway, thanks, just wanted to introduce myself. Hope to meet a lot of new people/friends here. :whoo:

I am awaiting approval to go ahead an have the surgery. I attended a support group meeting tonight and saw dramatic weight loss in many. The only thing I'm worried about at this point, is pain management. I'm worried about the pain factor. I think it was so neat that everyone at the meeting started a clothes swap...they bring in their old clothes in hopes that others may be able to use them.

Hello, and congradulations Jackie. I was banded on Aug 20th and I am feeling wonderful also. Keep up the good work.Jackie, your surgeon will give you a liquid pain med to help with your pain. It really is not that bad. Just a little tenderness and soreness, and a small amout of diarrhea. You will do great. Keep in touch.
